Working together with parents network receives new funding

A project that helps professionals better support parents with learning disabilities will continue and expand thanks to funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

The Working Together with Parents Network (WTPN) is a collaboration between the Norah Fry Centre for Disability Studies at the University of Bristol, Learning Disability Wales, and Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD).

The three-year, £462,000 grant from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation will enable the Network to ensure that the perspectives, needs and rights of parents with learning disabilities are routinely reflected in all relevant family policies, practices and procedures.

Anyone who works with parents with a learning disability can join the network for free and keep up-to-date with policy developments across the UK. Click here to find out more.
